Antidote Vintage had been a must go to on the Norwich vintage trail for a couple of years, housed in a lovely old phamacy with the original wood panels and cute cuby holes that once stored the lotions and potions. Selling one off clothes and accessories from the 30’s to the 80’s.
Saturday saw the re-launch of Antidote Vintage on Upper St Giles, Anne Moore had brought in 5 new designers into the shop and rebranded it as Antidote Vintage, Retro and Handmade.
Anne from Antidote has bought in Maria, a vintage collector now selling her hand-picked 60’s and 70’s pieces to enhance the shops Vintage collection, which will feature alongside 5 designers that make beautiful items with a retro/vintage feel.
Those designers are:
Bohemian Love Story – some of you maybe familiar with the stunning head pieces as they have been seen at fairs and events around Norwich.
Knitty Knots – vintage knitting needles twisted and tied into unusual pieces of jewellery.
South of the Border – with a big nudge towards Mexico – fun and funky indivual jewellery designer Lisa Bowles uses vintage scabble and dominos to create her retro inspired pieces.
1940’s Style for you – hand knitted jumpers from original 1940’s patterns, each garment is a one off and individual.
Music Box Jewllery – take broken bits of vintage jewellery and re-work them into new and beautiful creations.
Susie Q – who designs a range of vintage inspired clothing. Look out for pencil skirts and trousers coming for A/W.
Anne has put together a lovely collections of designers and created a real Gem of a shop to find all your vintage and retro goodies, especially that hard to find reproduction knitwear.
