Sweetheart’s Music Club

The King Size Papa’s have been gigging for a number of years with regular slots at Sheringham 1940′s weekend, after a recent change of line up they have relaunched their monthly Sweethearts Music Club at Arkwright’s in Norwich.

The evening kicked off with a Lindy dance class from Alan and Cherry from Chicken Junction based at Flixton Village Hall, then the band jumped and we jived.

The venue is a tad seedy but the booze is cheap and there is a large dance floor that you can strut your stuff on, there will be regular Friday nights with a variety of dance classes and bands. Future attractions include James Goodwin playing Boogie Woogie piano and Rock the Block boogie Woogie dance classes in September and a Jive class with 40s and 50 music from Curly Blows it Dry in October.

It is a great place to go and hear some great bands, learn a few dance moves and have a swinging time dancing the night away.

Future dates:

£8 on the door, 8pm start

Friday 7th September

Friday 8th October
