Crafty Ewe is a recently opened yarn and craft shop at 15 St Giles in the centre of Norwich Lanes, so Vintage Norwich popped in to pay them a visit.
When mother and daughter team Dorothy and Eleanor wanted to start knitting they found there was a lack of quality wools to choose from. It had been a long dream to open a shop, so when the trend for make do and mend, knitting and other craft skills became popular they decided to open Crafty Ewe in August this year.
The shop sells a wide variety of wools in a rainbow of colours alongside needles, patterns for everyone including a very cute baby section from newborn to toddlers.

For non knitters they also sell decoupage kits and jewellery making accessories and are planning to extend the craft range to embroidery, card making and rag rug kits.
It is a lovely bright shop full of lots of wonderful crafty things and we felt encouraged to do a little making ourselves. As a bit of motivation they are currently running a competition to win £25 to spend in store. All you have to do is take in a handmade Christmas decoration which will be displayed in store for customers to pick their favourite. You can enter as many times as you like, and the winner will be announced on Christmas Eve.
