The Best of Vintage Norwich 2013 – Nominations

January 7, 2013

Vintage Norwich is rapidly approaching it’s second birthday and once again we plan to celebrate by finding the best shops, cafes, restaurants and nights out that Norwich has had to offer over the last year with the Best of Vintage Awards 2013!

The last year has been one of huge change in Norwich. Out of last years winners some, like Biddy’s Tea Room, have expanded, or, like Aladdins Cave, moved to new venues. Others, like Poppy Valentine have moved their businesses online and off of the Norwich high street. Some of our big club nights, like No Strings haven’t run since the spring, and lots of smaller regular nights like The Blue Skies Lounge and Drink ‘n’ Jive have sprung up in their place. There’s also been a lot of one off events and classes this year, so we’ve introduced a new category, best vintage event or day out which can include anything from a make up or burlesque class, to bigger days out like Sheringham or the Gressenhall 40s weekend.

The one thing we can definitely say is that Norwich is still a fanatastic place to shop, eat, drink and party for vintage lovers.

This years glittering awards ceremony will be held at Norwich Puppet Theatre as part of Norwich Fashion Week, and this time tickets will be available to non-nominees so that you can join us for the ceremony and after party on Monday 11th March. Watch this space for tickets, but in the mean time we’re looking for your nominations for the top vintage and independent businesses in Norwich.

If you’re looking for inspiration check out our Vintage Norwich Loves section, or our archives, but we’d love to find your hidden gems as well, the hairdresser that did your amazing victory rolls for your wedding, the antique shop where you found that bargain cocktail cabinet or that DJ that you found at your friends party.

Just fill in the form below with as many of the categories you want to nominate in.

You’ve got 3 weeks to nominate your favourites, and nominations will end on Friday 25th January, ready for voting on your favourites to go live on Monday the 28th.
